It is curious, yes, for someone to go from "This is weeks ahead of schedule" to "There's no time" in the space of one conversation. Is he actually in a hurry or is he merely giving the impression of being in a hurry in order to make whoever's reviewing the project think that he's rushing it? You never know with Talbot. "I have no time for testing my superweapon" is right up there with "I'm sure my cellphone's still charged", "It's just a short march to Moscow", and "Let's have sex in the abandoned cabin next to the haunted lake at that deserted campground where all the cheerleaders vanished." What does he need a prototype supersoldier for in such a hurry anyway? Got a tough performance review coming up? Talbot seems to like punishment.
