“I have no time for testing my superweapon” is right up there with “I’m sure my cellphone’s still charged”, “It’s just a short march to Moscow”, and “Let’s have sex in the abandoned cabin next to the haunted lake at that deserted campground where all the cheerleaders vanished.”
What does he need a prototype supersoldier for in such a hurry anyway? Got a tough performance review coming up?
Talbot has seemed to be in a rush since we first saw him, although to be fair we joined the story at a point where his project was already delayed several times and under scrutiny from the higher-ups. It is curious, yes, for someone to go from “This is weeks ahead of schedule” to “There’s no time” in the space of one conversation.
Is he actually in a hurry or is he merely giving the impression of being in a hurry in order to make whoever’s reviewing the project think that he’s rushing it? You never know with Talbot.
